Hi Auctionwatchers. I was hoping to catch the attention of possibly another user who has overcome the following little dilemma, which is beginning to tally up.
I use Avery 8163 labels with Endicia/Dazzle, and can't take advantage of the free delivery confirmation that Endicia offers when you ship via Priority Mail because there's no more room left on the label.
The Avery 8163 label set-up are two labels sitting side by side, the label on the left being reserved for the addressee and the right label is for the actual postage.
I've been taking my Priority packages to the local PO in person, and paying extra for the D.C., and I keep thinking how much I could save if I can just get the Endicia/Dazzle program to print the DC for me.
Any tips from the Endicia veterans out there?
Can I print on a third extra label in a new row, etc?
Thanks!
Jack

You can pretty much do anything you want with the software but it may take some of practice to get it set up. Use the full sheet setup. And let endicia support help you, they are very good.

Sure you can, if you can fit a 3rd label on your packages. The 6" x 10" mailers that I ship would not acommodate a 3rd label. Either that, or you can get different labels. I'm not sure what size the 8163 labels are, but I use the Avery 8164 which are 3 1/3" x 4". These are large enough to fit everything on two labels. I put my return address and DC on the left label and the main address and postage on the right label. It works perfectly.
I think that if your current labels are not adequate, it would make sense to switch labels. You'll certainly make up for the cost of the labels in reduced DC charges.

I use 5164, and fit the postage, address and return address on one label, DC on the other. When I ship first class, there's no DC, so I save the left label. Just turn the label page over next time to use it without DC.
To set up 5163 for two rows, you just need to do a custom label. Define it as though it is one label that is two labels wide and two labels high.

I use the free Aug 2000 priority labels from the PO and everything fits on one label. The trick is to print it sideways down the middle (well, near the middle since the blue margin is wider than the red margin).

Anyone who wants my template, just email me. I'm not in my own office now so I dont have it with me. I'll send it out when I get back. I believe the PO is changing the priority label soon, so stock up on the Aug 2000 labels while they're available. I just placed an order with the PO and they sent me Aug 2000 labels.

This question has come up many times before. You can't get all of the information on a 2"x4" 8163 Avery label because there just isn't enough room to get all of the information on them with the required space around the address and postage indicia.
As noted above, you can use 8164/5164 3 1/3" x 4" labels and get everything on them. A while back I posted a template for using them with endicia set to Avery Full Page Label. Here's the information you need:
This template will allow you to take advantage of 12 cent Media Mail, Parcel Post, etc where printing to a Priority Label will only allow you to ship Priority. I've begin shipping quite a bit using the other classes with Delivery Confirmation now that I use Endicia.

I am using the label 228, July 1996 USPS Priority mailing label to fit delivery confirmation, postage, and mailing address. Here is how my layout is set up:

I borrowed the layout from another seller who posted on AW.
