There is the Society of Creative Anachronism, or something very similar, that puts on midieval-era battles. People like that would probably be into vintage clothing.

Society for Creative Anachronism. This group has become associated with Renaissance Faires (and other similar events), so in vintage clothing that probably means "a garment suitable to worn to a Ren Faire."

Thank you - they WERE Renaissance items now that I think about it. Now I have to look up anachronism .... sounds fun anyway.

SCA and Ren Faires are two totally seperate entities. Here's SCA's main page for more info: http://www.sca.org/
(And yes, I'm a member )

*Edited to add that Ren Faires are in it for the money, SCA is non-profit. SCA is in it for the learning and teaching, Ren Faires are in it for entertainment. I hope that helps clarify the difference...
