I Had an item sell with BIN earlier today, just got an e-mail from the "buyer" who said his password was stolen and he didn't place the bid. I don't suppose there's any way to find out if the guy is telling the truth or not is there? Any way to trace the bid or anything? I'll file for the FVF, but it ticks me off that I still have to pay the listing fee. Grrr....

Run a search on this buyer and see what else they are bidding on. That might clue you in on what really happened, if they found the same item for less money etc.

Actually, I believe it is likely! The most bazaar thing happened to me last night while surfing ebay...I clicked on someone's auction and all the sudden I was in their "My ebay". It totally freaked me out. I have reported the issue to eBay.
Plus some people choose really easy passwords and hackers can easily brake them.

He hasn't bid on anything similar, it was a kid type item (video game) so maybe it was his kid and he doesn't want to fess up or something.
