I'm tempted to list but it's pretty slow (for me) on ebay this week, and particularly the last couple of days--not a lot of bids coming in. I don't think I want to list auctions this weekend if I don't have a good chance of getting some early bidding.

Maybe time would be better spent preparing auctions for listing next week?

August was pretty good to us this year. It didn't even get slow until the last few days.

I listed 105 auctions on Wednesday - that way they're up there for those who DON'T leave for the holiday, but don't close until next Wednesday when those who did leave will be back home.

With the price of gas so high, I'm hoping some people will stay home and shop.. *fingers crossed*

If not, I'll relist the auctions next week (70 of those were storefront items that'll be up for 30 days so I don't care about the holiday for those) and maybe get the listing fees refunded on the 2nd try...

I'm REALLY hoping that with kids headed back to school and the tax checks coming out that things will pick up.. I've got my Halloween stuff up and am getting Xmas stuff ready to list Nov 1st.

I didn't really factor in the holiday this time around because I have had, and will have, personal affairs taking me out of town, so I have to list when I'm around to handle the back-end! I romanticize about the time when everything settles down and I can list with blissful non-interference, but when that means I long for the "quiet" days of the school year, I know I'm delusional!

I've put out some 10 day listings, that way I have some up during the Holiday, but they close when everyone is back in the saddle.

We have about 30 nice items ready to go next weekend.

As I plan on being gone most of the next few days, so will our bidders I figure.

I need a few days away anyway.......

I listlessly listed a couple while listening to Liszt, but it will require a litany to liquidate at list price. Literally.

LC..... I can't even say that without vapor locking! LOL!

I plan to prepare a bunch this weekend, not sure when I will start them yet. Wife and kids ("the zoo crew" will be gone all weekend, and I have to work 16 hours on Monday (ain't no holidays in emergency services ).

I guess this will be my only real computer time until next week, so I'll type until my fingers fall off...

I've listed a bunch of stuff to close after the holiday weekend. But sales has been good on the BIN stuff so I've relisted those sold items (new books I have lots of). My stuff is outdoor recreation, so if they are home, they should buy from me on a BIN so they will have something to read...

I have only listed 7 to go off after the holiday.

I started tracking the auctions to see how many people are looking, and at what times this weekend. I checked at 7:36 PM EST last night and this morning at 8:14 AM EST. 12 people have clicked on since last night. The items are in the home & garden, paper collectibles and book sections. I had already had bids on 4 of the 7, and that didn't change. Twelve isn't alot, but more than I would have at the mall overnight!
