Do you feel squeezed out by too many large companies selling mass produced goods on eBay? I think the big companies get preferential treatment over smaller sellers.

No, I still do fine. The "Big Boys" don't sell what I sell.

I feel the pressure of competition from all sizes of other sellers for some of my items, but the handmade items are solely made by me - nothing else like it, so there is not pressure there at all.. except that I put on myself to create more designs. 8)

same here, my items are not the kind the masses would even think about selling.
now i do feel the pinch on competition via lower sale prices because others have joined the party and have seen that the items i fool with are valuable to many.

No reporter here - just sick of scrolling through a ton a mass produced products to get to the good stuff. It seems they are listing in vintage catagories. And I sell "real" vintage items and it's driving me crazy!

Just looked at disney auction feedback. How can they have so many negs and still be featured by eBay? Ahhh my point - big companies do get preferential treatment over smaller sellers!

AuctionPulse,
How can they have so many negs and still be featured by eBay?
Disney's feedback profile is tame compared to some FEATURED sellers.
One featured seller that I know of has: (1300+ neutrals) and (1600+ negatives) as of this morning. Complaints include mis-representation, selling damaged items and non-delivery.
Ebay obviously is a lot more forgiving when it comes to high volume sellers than they are with the rest of us.

Nah, they don't bother me. They won't give the customer service, often their prices are higher and shipping more costly.
There are people who'll buy from them & not care but there are still plenty of buyers who want a more personal touch or are scared off by their feedback.
I figure I can move faster than cheaper than they can even w/their volume purchases.
