How long do you have to wait after an auction is over to hear from the buyer and end the auction?

I know about the sending the NPB notice and filing for FVF's-but I really don't want to wait that long to just end this auction and relist this item.

Buyer will not answer emails-we are both on AOL-so I know they are reading them. High ticket item (for me, anyway). 0 FB-joined Ebay the day bid was placed. I have a real bad feeling about this one.

I give them 7 days, then I file the NPBN. If I don't hear from them or receive pmt within 10 days of that, I fire off the neg and relist.

I have had bidders that never emailed me, just sent payment. It does happen, and is better than bidders who email and email and email, and never send pmt.

That's how I do most cases, too. What I'm asking is do I HAVE to wait that long? I've got another buyer for this item and I don't want to lose them while this person messes around. There's no excuse for not even answering an email.

No, you can relist a day after the auction closes if you want. Just as long as you lay out your TOS in your auctions.
