There is something I want to sell on eBay but can't find it anywhere except a web site I found. Is it safe to give my resale number on the web? They won't sell it in bulk without a number.

Maybe you could fax it? Or make sure you are on an SSL secure page.

Assuming that you are sending from a secure site to a secure site, it's just as safe as giving your mastercard or home address over the Web under similar circumstances. And in fact, since your resale number can't be used to buy items or to locate you physically, it's probably MORE safe. I wouldn't worry about it.

BTW, wholesalers are required by most states to obtain this number from you as part of your transaction. If you're buying over the Web, I don't see how you can avoid giving out this number.
