I had several deadbeats that never paid despite many reminders. I finally sent out Paypal payment requests, and was quite suprised that everyone except one paid. The non payer was neg'd.

I instituted this after receiving 2 retaliatory negatives from non payers who claimed to have never received any email from me ( even though emails, ebay warning, etc. were sent).

Bumping because this is a great idea.

It could be that your deadbeat bidders are just plain lazy. A request circumvents the usual excuses. Good idea.

the eBay "NPBN" or Non Paying Bidder Notice does this same thing.

one year end i looked at all the boxes which were packed and labeld and have no place to go and decide to write them on postcard asking them to pay,it works on a few.but that was years ago, then i tried calling them ,usually in the evening when they are having dinner ,you know din din time and no one wants to look bad or spoil their own dinner appetite.
usually something happens at home or work and they just lost interest, since you call and jolt their memory, they agree to pay.
try it if you think it is worth that long distance phone call

both the paypal notice and the ebay npb notice are useless UNLESS the person actually wants to pay, and you will never know until you try........

I think that using both NPB alert and the request at the same time should shake loose payments from those who are willing. There are always some who are unclear on the concept.

Hello,

Auction numbers are generally not allowed, especially if it contains identifying information of a third party.

You may request that interested parties email you for the link.

Thank you,

Marty

The last few times I have pulled contact information, there was no phone number listed. I even had one with no address--just city and state. What does ebay want me to do, address it to Jane Doe, Anwhere, USA?

i am referring to bidders who have responded to your email and give you their addr.
if there is no complete addr on file, may be you can ask ebay for help/
honestly in such case, they dont want to pay, they are just bidding for the fun of it.
