I have two of these hard plastic juice glasses. They are about 4-1/2 inches tall and the plastic is approximately 1/8 inch thick. My husband says his grandmother used to have some lunchroom trays like we had in grammar school made of this same material.

The glasses: http://outresource.home.mindspring.com/plastic_cups.jpg

The mark: http://outresource.home.mindspring.com/plastic_cups2.jpg

I didn't upload them directly to the board because I didn't want to slow down the loading time. Thanks for your help.

I have seen those, they were used in school hot lunch program at my grade school and we had them when I was in the Army. That would be in the 50's & 60's. Made of some kind of tough plastic, I can hear them clattering inside the dish washer. My guess is the're worth about 2 cents a hundred!

LOL alldings, probably aren't worth nuttin' but I am still interested in them.

Here are some names I came up with today.

Boontonware/Bootonware
Branchell ColorFlyte
Branchell Royale
Brookpark/Arrowhead

Any ideas?

They do sort of resemble ColorFlyte but I've had some of that before and it said ColorFlyte on the bottom. I don't recognize that mark you show. Plus, the stuff I had wasn't quite that "splotchy".

I sold the ColorFlyte (cups, creamer & sugar) on ebay. Not worth a lot, but it sold.

By the way, I think this kind of thing will be worth more in the future. It's pretty nice stuff actually.

Hi Dixiebee,

I collect plastics and all the ones you mentioned would most likely be marked.

I have a book on collectible plastic dinnerware and it shows a tiny photo of tumblers similar to yours and it id's them as being made by U.S. Halsey Inc.

Unfortunately, the book doesn't give any info on the company.

I have to agree with alldings that they are probably not worth much. BUT, that spatterware plastic is my favorite and I know other collectors like it too, so you never know.

loosecannon: I have a house full of stuff that might be worth more in the future, don't you?

mapledr1216: Thanks! I would guess that the US on the bottom would be for U.S. Halsey. A friend was over yesterday and I asked her to look at them. She was so certain they were Boontonware. After finding information about that brand, I wasn't so sure but I could not find a website that had any marks on them.

Not only a house full. A garage full too.

Dixiebee, These are two Boonton marks. There are others also, but I'm pretty sure your mark is not Boontonware.

The US on the bottom stands for someone we all know and love, Uncle Sam! Every Army mess hall I was ever had 1000's. A complete serving set would be a cup, bowl, drinking glass, which you have, & a metal mess tray!
