Noticed as soon as September arrived eBay buyers came out of hibernation! My August eBay sales were mediocre. So mediocre that BargainandHaggle doubled my eBay $ volume and profit in August. First time ever another venue eclipsed eBay. But with September here, it's been all eBay hands down. Stuffs been flying off the shelves the past 4 days! Everything's being swiped with Buy It Now. The way people are buying stuff, I find it hard to believe there's a recession going on!

Is everyone else seeing a major pickup at eBay since August ended?

If eBay continues to smoke, there may be no reason for a FLD the last week of September. They may be able to beat their projected #s regardless how slow August was. The more success sellers have, the more they'll list.

I have 14 bids on items that either closed this weekend or close running through Wednesday. Made 3 half.com sales already this morning... While my August ended up being a good month for me, I have high hopes September could be even better with my new inventory items and lots of Halloween stuff. 8)

I've got two sets of auctions running right now (under two IDs). The clothing is getting tons of hits and a decent number of bids...the small antiques are languishing. Ugh! But all in all, I do sense a speedup and I'm delighted.

I sell new womens clothing and BIN is working just great again! I gave up on it the last two months. I list about 230 auctions a month - I'm selling one or two a day with BIN. It's like old times! YES!

Not onemachtwo on ebay

I listed 20 items last night and 17 have bids this morning. Not bad, but all of the items have low opening bids and no reserves.
They are all 10 day listings so there is plenty of time for them to grow.......hopefully.
This Sat. I plan on starting more, mostly items that we sell quite often. That should be a good test of if/how things have picked up.

Interesting side note.....

I listed several of the same items that we sell via BIN on ebay on a few other auction sites months ago and so far not one sale from those! Same items, same price that we list them for on ebay.

I guess ya git what ya pay for!

Not yet for me unfortunately. Not boiling. Not simmering. Just kind of....stagnant still. I'm averaging between 30 and 40 auctions ending per night with only 5 or 6 closing with bids. I really hope to see things pick up soon, it's very frustrating.
