Support is closed and I have 40 packages to get out. I downloaded it today and managed to get the label set up. What I don't seem to get is how to get the right postage on the correct address.
I went into address book and created a list by hitting "new address" and cut and pasted from my email. Then I highligted the address and hit "Postage", "options" then selected the right weight and postage for each address. When I selected the first three to test print, it printed the right address but the postage all says "PBM" when only 1 was PBM and the other 2 were media mail. Also, the postage shows 0.00. I know that this is a test print, but how do I know if the right postage is getting on the right address if it prints 0.00?

Can you give me a little more information? You've added all forty addresses to your address book, right? Of the forty, some are media mail and some are Priority Mail, correct? For the Priorty Mail, are they all the same weight? What about for the Media Mail addresses -- same weight?
And what kind of printer are you using? And label stock?

Hi Harry,
They are books and videos of various weights. No duplicate items but some of the weights will be the same. Some get shipped media, others BPM and some Priority. Just guessing I probably have 20 2 pound media, 2 2 pound priority, 1 1 pound priority, 5 1 pound media and the rest range from 2-8 pounds either going BPM or Media.
I am using 3-up labels from gflabels.com. They are 8.5 x 3 2/3. No edging. The label format prints fine on paper so I assume it will print OK on the labels. I use a Epson 880 inkjet.
Let's say I choose 3 of my 40 address. The first one is 1 pound media, the second is 2 pounds media and the fourth is 5 pounds BPM. The software just picks up the last input and in test print mode will print all 3 labels as BPM.

OK, that is an excellent description.
Our program isn't designed to handle what you want to do in an automated fashion. But we've had more and more requests for this, so don't be surprised if you see something better in future releases.
But all is not lost!
What DAZzle will handle in batch mode is a bunch of addresses with the same weight and the same service class.
If you select the 20 address which are 2 lb media mail (using the Control Key while left clicking your mouse) and print those they will all come out with the correct postage. We even adjust for zone-related postage variations amongst those addresses (if there are any) -- just as long as it's the same mail class and weight.
Now do the 5 addresses and select the 1 lb media mail rate. You can print all 5 in batch mode (provided you label stock will accept all 5 in one shot).
Now grab your two, 2 lb priorities.
Then you will have to deal with the others on a one at a time basis. To do those, highlight one address at a time and then switch to the design tab. The address will "be there" and you can just push the print button.
Now let me take a slightly different tack. If you don't intend to ship to these folks again, it may have been unnessary to load them into the address book. You can just copy the addresses from the Email body and if you "arm" DAZzle2K correctly, the address will automatically be grabbed by DAZzle. This is particularly effective for the one off's.
To arm DAZzle in that way, go to File|Preferences and select the ClipBoard tab. Check "Monitor Clipboard for Addresses" and you may also want to automatically trigger a print cycle by checking "Print After Paste".
One final note, if this is your first postage printing experience, go slow. Start with the single pieces and make sure they are printing correctly. Then move on to the "mini-batch" prints.
And don't forget you can get free delivery confirmation on your Priority pieces and DC for 12 cents on your media mail.
Hopefully this will get you started. Tech support will be open tomorrow AM at the usual time if you need further help. And it may help to know that in most cases if you deposit your mail anytime tomorrow, it really won't start moving in earnest until tomorrow evening. So don't stay up too late tonight unncessarily <g>!
Me -- I'm going home to ice the cupcakes I baked for my 9-year-old's classroom birthday party tomorrow!!
Best
Harry
