For the past 2 days I've received an email from PayPal telling me that they could not automatically add the Pay Now logo onto my auctions, which I have scheduled to do automatically every night. It says my eBay password is wrong. It is not wrong, I have not changed it and I can do everything correctly through eBay (list, get emails, leave feedback - all requires a password).

Is anyone else having this problem and is there a way I can fix it? I don't need to change my eBay password...it's not wrong. I can't even manually put the auction logo's in as it rejects my password.

TIA.

Yes, I had 2 of those PayPal notices in my mail this morning. I followed their instructions:
1. Login to your account.
2. Click the "Sell" tab.
3. Find the "Sell on an Auction" heading.
4. Click the "Automatic Logos" link under the "Add a PayPal
logo to your auctions" title.
5. Enter your eBay user ID and password, and click "Submit."
6. Check the box to select Automatic Daily Updating. Choose
the logo that you would like to post on your auctions, and
press the "Submit" button.

I got as far as step 5 and when I entered my user ID and password it came back as invalid. I believe this to be a PayPal problem, as I have no problem signing in on eBay.

Hi, I had this problem 24 hours ago. I had not changed either my i.d. or password.
I also had clients who could not pay me.
I traced the problem to a first time installation of a Norton Anti Virus Programme which was not activating my email accounts. The Norton programme was installed over the top of a Macafee programme and caused a conflict.
Somehow PayPal uses your email address to initiate their verification procedures. No active email and you don't exist!
Check to see that you haven't got a problem with disabled email verification.
Once I sorted out the email problem everything was back to normal.
Hope this gives you a lead on this.
Bob, Downunder but never down.

I've seen some posts this morning that Ebay has been making some code changes - its POSSIBLE that these changes are affected 3rd party access to Ebay information... I know vrane is having trouble, so maybe Paypal is too.. 8(

I've seen some posts this morning that Ebay has been making some code changes.

Yes, I think they probably are making code changes because ebud won't retrieve email addresses. I had to log in to ebay separately to get them and then copy/paste the addresses into ebud.

It will probably be sorted out shortly.

I had the same problem the other day. Just log on to paypal, go to selling, then the auto insert, select the item's to add the logo. Goes right in no problem.

I'm having the same problem. I have gone to Paypal to re-enter my info but I get the message "The eBay User ID or Password you have entered was not accepted. Please try again."

Hi all...this seems to be a resent UPGRADE problem with EBAY! They just posted an announcement about it. IT READS IN PART:
***System Status***
Due to our recent upgrade to our sign in system, some third-party tools may not be working properly. We are working with the vendors to correct this situation as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience.
Regards,
eBay

In the mean time my PAYPAL UPDATES-won't work...AW won't work, as far as getting any listings posted, etc.....SOOOOOOOO My guess, is we all take a break till they fix it!

ahhhh..don't you just love those new system enhancements? If Ebay can't cover it's bases on third party vendors..(thus halting uploads from Auctionwatch and logo insertions from PayPal)..how could we ever expect to get the poor folks at McDonalds to get our order right?

It's a lovely day to get outside and enjoy the real world. See ya.

Alrighty well I know it's not just me then. I am getting payments through PayPal fine. I just can't add the PAY NOW logo to my auctions...which is annoying because it's the Instant Payment logo.

Hope it gets fixed soon!
