I have been trading on Ebay as Antiqueprintshop for over two years and during this period have had several non payers. Until now I have not pursued these bad Ebayers for fear of receiving negative feedback. My record is extremely good (over 128 unique feedbacks) and I have given all buyers 100% satisfaction.
Nevertheless I am out of pocket. At the present time I have a customer who after 30 days still has not paid ,and has sent me, following a final official reminder from eBay, an invalid Credit card. I have decided whatever to pursue her and will be requesting
refund of fees from eBay after the 10 day stipulated period. I have also noted that this customer's feedback does not reflect the amount of bids she has made over the past month. In fact there is a considerable
shortfall in her current feedback profile.
THE PROBLEM is this: this customer has over 20 excellent feedbacks without blemish. If she doesn't pay and I receive eBay's refund I believe that I should give her a negative
entry, say " Non Payer, eBay refund, invalid credit card, treat with caution" MY WORRY is that she will give me a MALICIOUS negative feedback which will be evident on my profile whilst I spend weeks with eBay battling to have it removed (which isn't even guaranteed)
Do I proceed with negative feedback to protect other eBayers or rely on eBay to suspend her eventually!!! One recommendation would be for eBay to publicise those Users under caution thus avoiding the above problem.Your thoughts would be helpful....

If you have as good of record as you state, a retalitory negative will not kill you. If it is retalitory other people that see it will probably be able to tell that it is just that.

Once you get the fee you can and should leave feedback if they haven't paid up. Bidders who retaliate basically hang themselves with their own rope. A neg from them is volume without substance.

I've left negs for all my NPBs and never received a retaliatory neg. The only ones that I haven't left a neg for were the ones who got suspended before I could leave feedback. That's part of the trick: File for your Final Value Fee first and if yours is the "third strike," you won't need to leave a feedback because it will suspend their account. If they leave a retaliatory neg for you, don't sweat it: most retalitory negs stick out like a sore thumb to anybody checking into your feedback. If you're really lucky, they might stumble and put a profanity in the feedback, in which case ebay will definitely remove it.
