I just got this email:
"I am so sorry! I received a note from eBay about this and checked my desk. There to my horror was the unmailed envelope! I put it in the mail the beginning of the week (Tuesday, due to the holiday) So I hope you receive it sometime next week. I had won another book on ******* and had thought I had paid for this one. I am so sorry! Please let me know when you receive my MO."
----------------
The punch line is this. I have been sending unanswered emails asking for this person's zip code/address so I could figure shipping cost! I have not given this person the full amount. Any notice that they would have gotten would have not have given shipping OR my address.

The joke, it seems, is also on me. I've been trying to enter a NPB warning on ebay and I keep getting a message that my computer isn't taking cookies. I happen to know that it is, as the cookie function that opens things on MYeBay IS working. How do I report to ebay that something is off, and has anyone else had this problem?

Clean out you temp internet files and reset your browser's accepance of cookies then reopen your browser. Waiting for eBay to fix something is a waste of time.

I took a different route to access the NPB Alert page and got it to work. There seems to be a bug if you try to enter from the link on the item page.

There is a new REQUIRED sign-in at eBay. It seems to be affecting users in many different ways depending on your browser, computer and whether you own the computer you are at. If you are at a public or work station that has a firewall you will not be able to sign-in.
If you look at the announcement board
http://www2.ebay.com/aw/announce.shtml
it will tell you to perform a series Monty Python like maneuvers to be able to do what you could easily do two days ago with out having to sign-in before they added the "Simpler Sign-In" that is anything but.
Basically what it is doing is irritating everyone and hurting sales. Not that eBay cares as they will still collect all the fees and the real reasons for doing this "simpler" sign-in likely have little to do with our convenience but everything to do with watching what we do.

It must depend on the firewall as well?
I use Zone Alarm & have had no problems signing in.
But it appears I have my own deadbeat coming up.
I know for a fact that this went out--sent a money order----unless i have completely lost my mind-and here i am wondering where my drapes are!! let me ransack my office for the slip and i'll get right back to you within 24 hours.
That was 3 days ago .........
NPB warning was just sent. sigh

Maybe your deadbeat has a few auctions that haven't been paid and sent a generic email to all the sellers??
The new sign in nonsense is driving me nuts too. It looks as if you have to sign in do anything on eBay. It gets even more irritating after you accept the eBay cookies to sign-in, you then get a message that YOU have JAVA disabled. As if to say how dare you ....
I really like this patronizing bit of horse manure from the Announcement Board:
"We hope you appreciate the ease of use our new simplified sign in process offers."
Tracking, it is all about tracking your every move on the site. It is like having an FBI file where eBay could pull up a detailed list of your every movement.

Is this new sign-in BS the reason my snipes at vrane.com haven't been processed? I have been puzzled all morning- I entered max bids of $15.00 0n 2 different items that closed today. One closed at $8.00 and one closed at $13.51, and my bids were never placed. I was wondering if ebay was down when those auctios ended, or what.
