I think I goofed up. I have a current auction running showing a pair of old salvage bathtub feet used as bookends. There are only 2 of these which is why I showed them put to use in this way. There are 5 bids on them with 3 days to go. A question came thru last eve asking if I have the whole set and bringing to my attention that I don't state the number in my listing. Low and behold, I didn't. My fault. Guess I was coming from the "what you see is what you get" school when I listed. MISTAKE. Now I'm concerned that others may think there's a complete set and haven't emailed to ask.
Can I add to a description after there are bids? I will email the current bidders to clarify, but want to avoid problems if I can. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Once a bid is placed, you can't change your description, but you can add to it. Just go to the bottom of your auction page and follow the "How can I change something or cancel my
listing completely?" link which will explain to you how to add to the auction listing. Since this additional info is tagged on the end, I'd suggest putting it in a large, bold font so it gets noticed. And then email all your current bidders with the clarification. That's about all you can and should do, but I wouldn't bother cancelling the whole auction over it.

Some people will wait and snipe at the last minute without re-reading the description, So when I sent the EOA I would make sure that they were aware that there were just two to avoid a potential problem.

Thanks for the advice. I will be sure to explain in my EOA. Have heard back from my current bidders and all understood that there were just 2, but better safe than sorry.
