It has been awhile since I last posted anything on this forum but something happened today that I thought I should share with ya'll.
This is kinda long so please bare with me on this and read on, I think it's worth reading.
I was the high bidder on a US Navy photo scrapbook. It had pictures of US Navy battleships and aircraft carriers from the WWI era on up to the present. I had planned on reselling/auctioning the photos individually and combining them with battleship and aircraft carrier coffee mugs that a friend had in his collection that he was going to sell to me. I had it all worked out, it was going to be a grand plan to do some serious auctions and make some good profit.
I kept in contact with the seller through email up until I sent my money via a US postal money order. After nearly 2 months I never received my merchandise and after repeated emails to her that went without replies I finally gave up and I gave her a negative feedback. Consequently she got herself naru'd because of this and other transactions where she had done the same thing to others and received negs from them as well.
Because of this transaction gone bad I didn't buy my friends battleship coffee mug collection and my grand plans were dashed.
I went to the post office this AM and there was a slip in my box to call at the window for a package and sure enough it was the photo scrapbook. She included a note that reads "I would like to appologize for the delay in shipping. I am entirely at fault. Although you probably won't find this explanation sufficient"
Now, you are probably wondering whats so special about this. This sort of thing does happen once in awhile.
I had long since forgotten about this transaction that went bad and I chalked it up as a loss as it was 8 months ago that the auction ended.
Now I hope I can reconvince my friend to sell me that mug collection.

It would be real gracious if you went in and left a note on the neg. that she did in time ship. Might help her if she tries to get reinstated.
Who knows what happened? She might have been in a coma in the hospital. Maybe 1 ina 1,000 of those sob stories ARE true.
