I was wondering if there was any way to obtain the e-mail addresses of Half.com buyers. I had my first two Half sales this week -- one mailed to Louisiana yesterday and one mailed to California today. I would like to e-mail them to let them know the items were shipped but that there may be a delay in their receiving them. It doesn't look like I can communicate with them though. Is there a link that enables me to do this that I'm missing?

They only allow you to contact buyers if there is a problem - and then you risk losing your $. Hopefully they'll know what's going on and understand slowness. If they contact YOU via half.com's system, you can tell them then that you mailed on time but USPS is delayed.

I know from experience. Do not click on the report a problem button to let them know that the shipping will be slower. Especially if you have already shipped. Then they have the option of cancelling, half.com will debit your account and the buyer will get a free book.

Buyre & sellers can only have contact through Half.com. If there is any thing negative toward Half. they will edit it out.

Half.com sent out the below notice to their members on 9/13. So I think the word is out and you don't have to worry. They also have a similar post on their Announcement Board today.
All of us at Half.com are deeply saddened by the recent tragedies in New York City, Washington D.C. and southwestern Pennsylvania. Our hearts and thoughts are with the victims, their families, friends, neighbors and all Americans everywhere.
The tragedy will impact our lives in a number of ways -- big and small. One small way you will be impacted is that all shipping carriers, including United States Postal Services, are likely to be delayed significantly since a majority of mail is carried via airplane. As of now, mail within a 600 mile radius of your location will be delivered, mail outside of this area is questionable at this time. This will likely affect your Half.com sales or purchases along with other Internet or mail order transactions. We ask you to be considerate of your fellow Half.com members at this time and give each other the benefit of the doubt on late arriving orders. Please feel free to suspend your inventory on Half.com if you cannot manage it under the circumstances. To do so visit your account.
