I recently filed a bunch of FVF request and got some weird excuses from deadbeat bidders. One deadbeat started listing the number of people (seems like the entire state population) that either died or is ill in the state of Tennessee, and it seems like she is either a relative or is a friend to all of them.
Another deadbeat told me that after she got the reminder notification from eBay, she realizes that she is still unemployed and is on disability so she cannot afford the product since she is unable to work.
What is the weirdest excuse you have ever gotten from a deadbeat? In all the turmoil and sadness, I could use some humor.

I have my EOA notices automatically sent out, and they almost always go out within minutes of the auction closing. I once had a bidder write back to me, after receiving the EOA notice and say "sorry, but you're too late. The early bird catches the worm." I received this e-mail within a few hours after the auction ended. She never paid, or replied to the NPB.

one bidder said he just received words from mom that dad being so sick his insurance benefits have been exhausted and advised him to standby with his resources, which means dont spend any money.
another recent deadbeat said money is needed to buy airplane ticket to visit dying relative, and will send 25 dollar to compensate for my time, then emailed and said her FIRST GREYHOUND DOG JUST DIED.
then bidded on another greyhound dog i just listed, when i warned her she will end up with 2 dogs, she quickly switched her aol account and outbid herself with another id.
what can i say??
how many of you have greyhound dogs at home??

I have yet to receive a single valid excuse beyond a bidder's own screwup for not paying in a timely fashion.
