One of my ebay bidders from Germany sent me this e-mail. It was typed in German, so I had to use an on-line service to translate it into English. I thought I'd share it here with others. It is truly wonderful to see support from around the world in this time of tragedy. Here is the translated message:
Hello, many thanks fur the mail. I will fly the money immediately if the aeroplanes again normally to you send. The events of Tuesday, do all totally confused(got tangled) to us. I will write these lines into German, because I cannot print myself in English so. I might state our absolute solidarity on this way of our whole family and all friends to the American people. We all are completely shocked and horrifies from hinterhaltigen and coward Terroranschlagen against America and the whole democratic world. We hope which are punished the responsible of these acts with all hard. One of our politicians has said that we are today all Americans and in addition we also stand. The democratic Germany fully stands behind America. I also hope that we can still also prove this. Please, inform of this news all your friends. With the best xxxxxx
This is somewhat related to this thread. I went to the Denver Flea Market yesterday and on the way back to South Dakota, I stopped by the Budweiser Brewery in Ft. Collins Colorado. A busload of German tourists had just finished the tour and were in the tasting room. I expected them to start singing German songs, when they started out by singing "My Country 'Tis of Thee". It was very touching!

German and French people are wonderful. Unfortunately their governments are not. They are already hedging there bets on the 'solidarity' thing now that carrier battle groups are moving. The Defense Dept (it's reported) are putting them in the "don't count on" column. Their governments would sell their souls to Satan for oil.

I am not asking for their support, or for that matter yours either. The "other" countries in our democratic socitie have been notorious for 'renagading on the USofA'. all you have to do is read what history has to say. We, as Americans are very rich and are the 'worlds police force at NO cost to Our friennds' so our friends do not have to present themselfs. Most countries that I read about in the last ten years say America should give them Americas wealth of minds, food, technology, freedom of religion and speech, $ (+ the rest of the constitution and Americas freedoms), without our friends paying anything but their lip(mouth)service. If you would take the time to research you would find that AMERICA is the Most Generos(sp) nation in the WORLD(possibly for all of history) with their food, assistance, and the rest of it. Gotta love those forefathers, while they were hanging on the Gallows they gave me my ability for life of my choosing)
