We had 33 auctions end so far this weekend....

...all had bids and 17 have already been paid for via PayPal.

8 were BUY IT NOW offerings with an average page view of 7 before they sold!

Pretty good for us.

How 'bout you guys???

Not many sales at all. And I'm sorry to say it may be that way for a couple of more weeks, while a nation mourns and recovers. Not to mention the Wall Street losses. Sounds like you were one of the lucky ones though.

I had 23 running this week and all but 3 sold. Some sold and are selling for much more than I anticipated.

Auction counts at eBay are down by nearly a million this week to last and still falling. Fewer auctions may mean higher probability of an actual bid.

Two out of five closed tonight with bids--both much higher than average. The others closed earlier this week with BIN. Half.com has been fine with six sales so far this weekend. I had taken a week off Half and I still had a record week following. Things are picking up.

I have almost 300 auctions up and only 1 has a bid. I keep hoping for the "it's getting close to Christmas" pickup. I know it's not something to worry about now, but I have to feed my kids. I hope something starts shaking soon.

Nope. 33 auctions + 3 Bids. been a little better the last month but not much since June. Usual for the last 3 monthes about 8-12% sellthrough. must be what I am selling, cutthrought jewelry. Really hurts. Lots of deadbeats.

Probably not, just good items this week.

'Trendy' stuff, very notable name and lot's of collectors.

Funny note....

One of the items did not get any bids for days after listing. I changed the auction, lowered the opening price & included free shipping.

It ended up my second highest auction!
(well over opening bid)

Go figure.

Last week, my items that had bids before the planes hit did pretty good. Anything that did not have a bid closed bidless.

Hopefully everyone will be back to bidding soon

Yup, that's the way it works!

Last week was great! This week I have 30 auctions and 3 bids.I was beginning to think I had done something wrong. In the year I've been doing this,I haven't shipped internationally.Tonight I changed that to "I'll ship anywhere".I've got to boost sales somehow,I'm desperate!!!!!

I think there are a lot of sellers who will do quite well through these harder times. Sellers of quality used items like auto parts, clothing, books, and toys have a pretty good shot at doing well. The beauty of ebay is, you can always re-evaluate your offerings.

I am amazed at the BINs I have received over last two days. Normally, I average one or two BINs a month; most folks let the auction ride out for the full time! In last two days have had 7 or 8 Buy it Nows - so I am encouraged.

I am trying to be optimistic also! Usually the majority of my bids come in the last day, so I try not to stress when most don't have bids in the first 2 or 3 days of listing - still do, though! Most of the time, I am extremely busy, so this helps keep my mind off of "no bids"....

mombda - so glad to see you here! I think is it wonderful that you are doing well - please email me and share your secrets!!!! By the way, recipe on its way...
