We all know that Saturday mail delivery will be forever on the "hit list" of the USPS. Mine is practically nonexistent now. Does anybody out there care if they do away with it?

I could live without it because I don't work, but I know Ebay sellers who have full time jobs and Saturday may be the only day they can ship out packages. My PO is only open until 10:30 a.m. as it is so it close close on Saturday without much problem. Just so they don't close it altogether (it is one of those little rural POs). They finally did get a digital scale last week but still can't print off the postal mailing tapes or receipts.

If I was going to eliminate a day of the week for mail delivery, it wouldn't be Saturday.
The load of mail would probably be a lot bigger
due to the gap between Friday and Monday. I say, why not eliminate Wednesday or Thursday instead. And yes, I agree, many working people
depend on Saturday for shipping out packages.

I am sure a lot of people would miss it, but I am not one of them. I also live in a small town. If you don't get to the PO to mail something before 9:30 on Saturday morning then it is not going anywhere until Monday anyway. So I don't bother with it. I don't even try to pick up my mail on Saturday.

I would not mind it if they stopped home delivery on Saturday, as long as they leave the windows open for outgoing packages.
