I always bid on Regis Philbin stuff because he was my neighbor and friend (sixties).
So when I saw his new book I made a bid, and ultimately won.
After my bid I sent a personal note to the seller about some of my experiences with Regis.
ALL I'VE GOTTEN is this automated "you are the winner" notification, with no mention of my email (This was before 9/11).
I think it's getting kind of scary that Ebay transactions are basically becoming COMPUTERS TALKING TO COMPUTERS (Yes, I send my own automated letters, btw, so I'm part of the problem). Are we losing the good old American "personal touch"?
