Hi, just curious as to what all you sellers do out there as far as leaving feedback for non-paying bidders. I left negative feedback for a bidder that never responded after several emails and was given 2 months to respond and pay. He in turn left me negative (completely untrue)-my one and only blemish on a perfect feedback record. I am now scared to leave negative feedback for fear of retaliatory comments. I have decided to not leave ANY feedback at all for bidders that flake out....but don't want them to get away with it either! I am interested in knowing how other sellers out there handle the feedback situation. Thanks!

I would guess that those with negative feedback already tend to dish it out also.
Then again, as with yourself, those with a perfect feedback rating would rather just 'suck it up' and file for a refund.
As many have stated, the seller seems to lose in a negative exchange as the buyer can always just put on a pair of sunglasses and start anew.
Non-payers seem to be in certain areas of ebay more than others.
EVERY time we list anything in the HOBBIES section, it seems as if about 1/4 are NPBs!
QUALITY collectibles are the opposite.
We had 33 good items end this weekend and 17 have been e-payed already!

Why is this even a question? The ENTIRE purpose of feedback is for the eBay community to be able to see what a person's track record is like! When sellers AND buyers become afraid to leave feedback, we will ALL suffer at the hands of the scam artists & deadbeats!
Prime example came up this morning while I was searching for inventory to bid on for my B&M store: A seller with an entire history of 4 months had a wonderful item available at a fairly decent price. BUT, once I pulled up his feedback and read the 10%+ neutrals & negs on completed auctions, I backed awway from the bid button!
So long as buyers and sellers are "afraid of a neg", more and more buyers & sellers will suffer!
Give them what they DESERVE and use that "response" line.....other buyers & sellers can see what happened and WILL understand!
