Is it I'm so far out of the mainstream that the U.S. mail no longer reaches me in Wisconsin? The last out of state payment I received was postmarked 9/12. Anyone else having a postal disruption?

I've actually been surprised at how little disruption there's been. Received three checks yesterday, all from different parts of the country. Not having any delivery problem in Dallas! mary

I just received a payment today postmarked the 10th, so it took 8 days to get to me. Guess it's to be expected.

I sent two USPS Priority Mail packages. One took five days to get from Phoenix, Arizona to Ohio. The orher package took 7 days to go from Arizona to Rhode Island.
I have recievd only a few payments in the mail. No where near what is expected to arrive.

Mail is still VERY slow. Airlines are accepting letter trays only (at least here in Detroit) I mailed a priority package the 15th and it arrived the 17th. Fedex can take our priority, but that is limited to space and express mail, though not guaranteed right now, has preference. How fast it moves all depends on how far it's going and what ground transportation is in place. I think it will be slow for a while yet

I've been getting my bills with no problems, payments are a little slow but they are getting here. My UPS shipments have been here like always with no delays at all.

I thought maybe I would have a slowdown on packing and sending packages this week. Boy was I wrong! The payments are flying into my mailbox this week and I've received good feedback from packages sent on Wed, Thurs & Fri from last week.

My post office box has been empty since last Tuesday. I did receive many PayPal payments.
I am extending my time but if I see that someone appears to have a history of being a deadbeat, I won't cut as much slack as I will to a good member of the ebay community.

I have had basically no interruption. Today's mail from NY, MA, CT, GA, TX and others mostly postmarked 9/13-14. BTW I am in CO.
I have told by my PO that priority mail in the tyvek is moving much fast than anything in a box. Some boxes are getting delayed to go through extra security.
My priority mail sent 9/14 (not in boxes) arrived on 9/17.

The last payment I've received I got on September 10, nothing since. Got some people that are getting on the late side too. I'll give them until Friday and then send my usual reminder. One buyer from Puerto Rico who did a BIN and promised to mail check on 9/8 still hasn't paid and doesn't answer reminder emails. Why do people BIN when they are not going to pay?

I was packing up check payments that cleared today and the enclosed letter asked if I would send the brooch to her office @ 1 WTC.
I'm not sure what to do now.

I dropped a check in the mail in the midwest (think Great Lakes area) on thursday or friday, and I received the item on monday, and the item was coming from somewhere in NY state. But then again I also sent 3 other payments the same day to AR and MO, and neither person has told me it has shipped. (The item could fit in an oversize envelope)
My guess is that if mail is going LESS than maybe 500 miles, it will have been delivered as normal, but if it probably would be airmail (going from one coast to another), it probably will be delayed. USPS is probably going to X-ray every package bigger than a normal envelope. As Fedex sends all packages that are not locally delivered to Memphis for sorting, Fedex probably finally got caught up this weekend.
Mail into NYC is totally messed up as the USPS said that they have millions of pieces of mail that they need to transport.

I mailed a package Priority on Monday, the 10th from the DC area and it was received in the Mid-west on the 17th.
I have gotten two payments since Tuesday.

South Florida checking in...
I received one payment yesterday, dated 9-10.
Two payments came in today, both also dated 9-10.
