Is anyone else currently experiencing difficulties signing in to eBay? According to the Announcement Board, there were some big problems a couple weeks ago, but I have been using the system without much difficulty. Then when I went to sign in today I received a message which says that my browser is rejecting cookies (which just isn't the case). I rebooted, cleared the cache and history and retried, but still get the same message.

As it stands, I can't send inter-eBay email or list items because I can't sign in. I know it's not because my browser's out of date (which used to be the reason for all tech problems) because I upgraded and like I said, I've been using the system without a problem till now.

Any ideas?

Haven't had the problems you are talking about BUT I have noticed a problem with the sign in screens over the last 24 hours.

Didn't want to wait to send my EOA notices last night so I went to my SOLD ITEMS page. Clicked on the winner, had to sign in to get the email, and then it would NOT let me use the back button to return to the previous page.

It was a minor inconvenience...since I could click on the person's email to start the note and then go back into ebay to get the rest of the info...a pain in the butt but it did not stop me from processing my payment notices.

This is NOT my system! Ebay must be doing something to the sign in screens.

I'm having to sign in twice. After signing in on the usual page a different page comes up to sign in again. Also getting that message about browser rejecting cookies and suggesting it's been disabled to accept cookies. I have not disabled anything...wouldn't have a clue how to in the first place. This is definitely not fun.

then it would NOT let me use the back button to return to the previous page.

I noticed this. If I click the back button 2 or 3 times real quick (before the page can load on a cable modem) I can back up, but try just one click, it recycles.

Microbes:

I think you may be right about that...I am on cable modem too and it did seem to work once or twice -- likely when I was getting real impatient.

I'm currently having troubles leaving feedback. I keep getting timed out. No problems on other sites. So it's not me or my connection.

Let's see...so far tonight...

Ebay has rejected my password three times. Gave me some screwy excuse for my error.

Asked me to sign in again after I already signed in and made a request. Sign in again. Geez!

No pictures are loading for me on anyone's auctions.

I thought it was just me and my computer. Came here to read a bit and find a few of you having problems as well. I am on a local service provider, so don't know about the cable. Cannot back a page without things happening. Got 2 items listed, slowly, so will wait until tomorrow with the rest. Maybe the new virus got into some of Ebay. I heard on TV that it will not hurt windows 95 & 98 and one of the Microsoft systems. Don't use that so did not pay that much attention.
