It started happening this afternoon. I got an email from a person telling me my halfcom order was confirmed. I don't belong to half-com. I replied to them, thinking maybe someone was using my credit card, but had not hear back.

Now I just got a "Question To Seller" I am not the seller, nor the bidder, and it came to an email I only use for buying.

Plus I have gotten a few emails that look like keyword spamming, coming to my actual email account, just a bunch of words jumbled together.

Is this happening to anyone else?
Should I forward the emails to safe harbor?

barrellracer, I too have received a couple of weird emails recently. One said, "Please send me your address and total amount I owe". That was it, no name or auction #. The other one I received had a bunch of jumbled up words with an attachment named WUPDMGR.EXE which I did not open and promptly deleted. I also received one more weird one but I can't remember what it said. Whenever I see a strange email I panic and hit delete. What is going on? I use Microsoft Outlook, how about you? Barbara

It happened to me a couple weeks ago. I received two "question for seller" messages about one item. I emailed seller and both buyers and we all agreed that ebay's proxy question system must have messed up. It hasn't happened since.

Hi Barbra,
Yes, I use Microsoft Outlook too. Just updated last week because I never knew how many people could ask for a "receipt" email without you knowing it when you opened their email.
My emails have been a scrambled mess, boxes, letters, numbers and then jumbled words. Last night my husband did a full scan on my computer and activated all my virus data. It makes doing anything really slow, but better than getting a virus.
This new one can attack without the attachement being opened. I posted the link below. I have gotten 3 more of these weird emails this morning. None have a subject listed, so I am just deleting anything without a subject. I hope this link works.
