I am getting a reply "address not found" It does exist when I do a search for this address on Yahoo maps.

What can I do about this?

Does your address have an apartment # or a business like Jones & Jones? I have trouble whenever the address has these symbols (and some others). I just make sure to use Apt or Ste instead of # and remove any other similar symbols.

Hope this helps!

Some rural communities don't use street addresses - they only have delivery at the PO through a box or a RR (rural route) number. It will turn out that the customer gave you an address that works in the small community, but isn't 'official.' You have to ask the customer in that case, they usually know.

Harry put up a nice link here once to enter partial addresses - that really worked for me a couple of times. Try eliminating the street number, and you'll get a list of possible matches (more than one match for this address ...) - you might find the clue you need there.

Are you sure its not the center of the city? Mapquest will still misdirect to the centroid of a city if can't find the address. So, I don't recommend using Yahoo! Maps as a backup address finder.

If there are any abrreviations, try expanding them to the full name and see if that helps.

104 Ward St.

Nothing unusual. I have to get these out so I'll just handwrite this one.

Thanks for your suggestions.

1. I can also suggest removing the St. abbreviation and let Endicia decide.
2. Buyers will sometimes list a city that is not the "official" city. A Google search of the zip code will sometimes reveal a city that Endicia can work with.

Harry from Endicia could best answer this, but this has been my experience with Endicia as a seller.

Thanks.

What's the city-state for this address? EMail it to me at [email protected] if there is a privacy concern. I'm always curious when an address doesn't resolve.

And don't forget this little tool:

https://www.endicia.com/endicia-usa/super/findaddress.cfm

Type in just 'Ward' for the street name and enter the ZIP5. See what appears -- there might not be a 100 range on Ward St, or it might be Ward Dr, etc.

Hi Mr. Whitehouse, a few months ago you sent me a link where I could download an order form to get the new labels that could be used in the Dymo Label printer. These aren't sold anywhere else & are made to print out address and the delivery confirmation using the Endicia (Dazzle) program. Are these labels still available for Endicia users? Thank you very much.
