I think the whole A4A thing that Ebay is doing is shameful. Ebay is taking advantage of the tragedy to make a profit and increase their market share in the online payment world. They are using it as an excuse to further their Billpoint cause. I was so shocked when I read the rules. They are desperately trying to beat out Pay Pal that they are using this situation to benefit themselves. They are using the same tactics that they were using in the past to try and beat out Pay Pal. All they did is stamp a flag on it and said it was for the country. It is not for the country it is for them to get more people to register with Billpoint. That is so wrong. They should be investigated and fined by the federal government.

You are absolutely correct... and if eBay's desire was to help the cause, instead they would donate all eBay fees generated with A4A listings. As it is, they are asking sellers to come up with good items, do the work of listing and selling them, and promote eBay's Billpoint, supposedly to benefit the Sept. 11 victims? C'mon eBay, get real and come down off your greed-mongering pedestal.

I for one refuse to use the A4A listings. When I donate to the Sept. 11 tragedy, I want it to be in a way that it has an impact on my children for helping those in need. We too often get wrapped up in our own problems, and then we get a slap in the face, like this American Tragedy. We find out our little problems at home are not so big anymore. At this time they say the count in New York is over 6000 missing, 6000 families that have much bigger problems and sorrows than I do at this time. My children do not partcipate in my auctions, I do all the work, I would rather see my children donating money, food, or whatever is needed at the time. I would much rather see my kids wearing flags or wanting one for themselves to hold or whatever they want to give them the feeling that they made a difference. Lots of little kids(and big kids too) lost their mom or dad, aunt or uncle, even grandparents. I want my children to realize in their lives that not getting something they wanted from the store or not going where they wanted, may be a big disapointment. But to think of the kids who lost their mom or dad, aunt or uncle, even grandparents, they have a real big disapointment that they have to live with for the rest of their lives. My kids don't know all the details, they do know it was bad people that caused all these people to die, and at 7 and 4 they talk about feeling bad for all those people. This means more to me to teach my children to pray for these people that we don't know, and help in any way. Not thru ebay auctions, where there is a twisted plan to benefit other businesses instead of the thousands of people that need the benefit.
