Just wait until they see how many charge backs Billpoint gets on the A4A auctions and NPB's.

Dare we hope we may see changes in the seller's favor?

RE: Chargebacks.
Since the auction is run under the "seller's" ID, any chargebacks will probably be put on the seller's account!
Just a thought.
Why doesn't Meg just write a check for a million dollars out of her household account. I'm sure it's just petty cash to her. After all, "it's only a (million) dollar(s)".

I found this at Billpoint's Help Site for A4A:

From http://billpoint.com/help/sellerguide/afa.html#19

"What about Chargebacks?

eBay Online Payments by Billpoint has implemented special chargeback handling procedures for Auction for America items. Like our transaction fees, our chargeback investigation fee will also be waived for Auction for America transactions. Nor will chargebacks be deducted from the seller's checking account, since the seller was never paid for the item. Below is a description of how the process works.

A buyer usually submits a chargeback when one of two things has occurred:

An unauthorized charge was made to the buyer's card. In other words, someone had the buyer's card and billing address and used this information to purchase the item. The seller has probably shipped the item to the fraudulent buyer's address. When eBay Online Payments by Billpoint receives this type of chargeback, we will notify the seller that this has occurred for future reference. However, no debit or fee from eBay Online Payments by Billpoint will be assessed to the seller's checking account.

The buyer indicated that the item was not received, or was different than the item described. When eBay Online Payments by Billpoint receives this type of chargeback, we will notify the seller that this has occurred and that dispute resolution with the buyer is necessary before the seller can receive the tax contribution, which will be rescinded unless the buyer reverses the chargeback claim.

As per normal eBay Online Payments by Billpoint procedures, excessive chargebacks for any reason may cause closure of the Billpoint Account. If seller duplicity is associated with the chargeback, eBay will retain the right to rescind the tax contribution receipt.
As with all transactions, eBay Online Payments by Billpoint strongly encourages all sellers to perform the safe commerce checks described on the following page:
