Hi,

I have several books in my inventory that are about terrorism -- not promoting it in any sense, these are basically political science or history books about various terrorist groups, such as Baader-Meinhof from Germany in the 1970s, Sikh fundamentalist extremists in Canada, etc. I also have some sort-of related things, such as The Handbook of The SAS and Elite Forces.

So if I listed these on eBay, would it be in bad taste right now, opportunistic trying to capitalize on the situation, or good sense as people might want to become more informed about this new aspect of their lives?

What do you think?

The fact that you are asking this question indicates that you are uncomfortable with the thought of listing these books.
It will be ok with some people, despised by others.
My only advice is that you must go by what your conscience tells you is right or not.

Books such as these are very hot on amazon. I don't see any mass protests. I don't see where providing information to people to enable them to better protect themselves/give feedback to leaders is a bad thing.

I think this is the perfect time to sell them. There are a lot of people out there who want to understand.

But of course ebay, acting under its double-secret rules, will cancel your auctions....

I would say E-Bay will cancel it.I had some T-Shirts with the 9-11 date on them saying we will survive and they were cancelled.Of course if its in the A4A you can run anything you want.

Actually I doubt eBay would cancel them, as they do not directly relate either to the World Trade Center or to the Pentagon, which are the criteria for the temporary suspension in trade of those items on eBay.

General information on terrorism, SAS or other special forces collectibles, etc., would certainly not be banned unless they contravened some other policy.
