The yard sale season here is almost over. What was your best buy of the season that you got the most dollars for on ebay? My best buy was some stainless steel flatware I bought for $2 and sold for $126.

I normally don't like to deal in used clothing unless I find something that really catches my eye. This summer, on vacation, I found some petite name brand jeans PLUS one red and one purple pair of leather jeans. I paid 50 cents for the 2 pair of leather jeans. I sold them for $75.

I have a moving sale to do for a friend next week and a doctor I work with (who is an auction fiend) has asked me to help him with his in 2 weeks. I can't wait.!!!

A book for $3 that sold for $153.

Also, this summer was just my summer to wise up just a little ('bout time after 2 years), so I've had a number of 25-50 cent purchases that sold between $10-$25.

Didn't buy it, but I found a very nicely carved wood box among others things in a dumpster.

When I got home I opened the box and found $1100.00 in cash, neatly folded. The newest bill was dated 1964. Went back to the dumpster to see if I could find more and who the things might have belonged to. Another area dealer was there also 'diving', saying he had been there earlier when the people dumped the stuff and had packed his van. He said they had just come into town to clear out their fathers house so it could be sold and they didn't want any of the 'junk'.

Some of the other things I found were old pocket knives, an old wall clock, an old painting - torn but still nice, old paper items and the coolest matchbook collection.

Made my day/week/month/year.

My thoughts on this issue have gone 'Un-Surveyed' and may not be of importance to the P.T.B.

Very cute, just4laffs! Beagles have great personalities. This post is really an excuse to show off my own Beagle pics, but, in order to stay with the thread...I bought a couple of snowboards with wooden seats for $4/each and sold them for over $400. Some militaria for $15 that brought in over $700, some...ah the heck with it...here are the Beagle pictures:

Part of an old Springfield rifle for $7.50 at an auction (nobody was bidding on it and I figured what the heck) and sold it for $165. The guy that bought it was plumb tickled--said there was a good possibility it came from Custer's regiment.
