I haven't been selling for over a year now and would like to ask how those of you that sell dolls, (Barbie in particular, but also some porcelain and Rusties), are doing?
What about quilts and duvets. Has the market picked up on these items?
I am getting ready to start auctioning again, but am curious as to how these items are selling.

I don't know. I sold some old Barbie (some Ken, Tutti and Francene) clothes this week. I had several pieces, all with metal zippers, real buttons or metal snaps (no velcro). I had about a dozen pieces and only got $43 for the lot. I know very little about Barbie or the Mattel clothes, but that what I experienced.

I think the barbie sales are still fairly good. Awhile back I listed several really old dolls and got some good prices on them. I also listed some other old dolls and they all sold well.
Wish I could find more to sell, but I haven't come across any more yet! :0)

I don't sell quilting or barbies, however, I do sell magazine subscription relating to quilting and dolls/bears, and they have done very well as of late... Hope that helps.

Barbie collectors are mostly concerned about condition of the items.Even the old stuff is pretty easy to find in played with condition and will usually sell but not for top dollar.Remember, these dolls and clothes were and still are produced in the millions and shipped to retail stores around the world. The high end "collectible" dolls are even easier to find than the less expensive play dolls, most collectors never remove them from the boxes and they're too expensive for most people to buy for their children to play with so finding them in mint condition is very easy. There are a few execptions but for the most part you end up getting less than Walmart prices for them on ebay.
