Only one more feedback to go and I get my RED star - Yay me
Looking back over the past three and half years on ebay I have:

Left 1333 unique feedbacks
Left 6 negatives
Had 2 left for me
Received three bad checks
Received two chargebacks
Had Billpoint contact me three times for fraud.
Had Billpoint give me the wrong shipping address twice.
Had Three electronic checks fail
Have never had a Romanian bidder NOT use a stolen credit card.
Was the first person to use 'Pantyhose guy' on a picture thief. (long story)
Have had 1,770 successful auctions.
Have paid $61,022.26 in eBay fees.
Have sold a total of $1,004,545.53 ($517,026.17 last year)
Yet eBay still answers many of my emails with form letters..
Oh well,
Jim
Looking forward to his next 1000 feedbacks

Sounds like you've had quite a time selling on Ebay. What do you sell? Your average sale is $568.

The highest priced sale we've had to date is $210.

It's pretty good to make your first 1000 in only 1770 auctions. We've had somewhere between 4000 - 5000 transactions with only 2 negs and we still haven't made it to 2000.

Good for you!

We know it takes a good long while for most of us to get to the big red one.........

...we are 102 short as of right now, sitting at 898.

In the last 3 years we have been involved in....

*about 2,500 transactions

*left 1,224 feedbacks

*received 1,090 in return (no negs yet)

*no bad checks

*probably around 50 NPB's

*1 item returned (because the bidder could not read)

*2 items slightly damaged during shipping

*no packages lost that I can remember

*1 complaint about us wrapping item in newspaper

There was only once that I can say that we really felt we were 'taken' in an auction.
We bid on a southwestern print that was perfectly cropped in the description photo to hide the fact that it was a picture cut out from a book! The desription did not say that, nor did it state a size so I figure it was my fault also.

I don't know about the rest of you but a couple years ago we did lots of buying and selling through ebay without really involving them so I do understand all of the new rules they are trying to invoke to prevent that. In fact, yesterday I bid on an item and asked the seller a question & he sent me a link to his 'special' non-auction sale page!
He only sends it to those who clearly ask about further purchases which to me is a great idea.

(probably against ebays way of thinking, but I like it!)

Anyone who writes in all caps is likely going to get more negs. It just comes of as unfriendly.

What a Long Strange Trip It's Been

Didn't Ken Kesey or Hunter S. Thompson or Allen Ginsburg or one of those elevated-to-near-counter-culture-diety-status-guys-by Rolling Stone-magazine-in-the-late-'60s-early-'70s-

say that?

SHOOT I ANSWERED THEIR E MAILS PERSONALLY AS I HAD NO IDEA HOW THIS WORKED. SEEMS LIKE ROOF WHAT EVER KNOWS ALL THE NAMES OF THE DRUGS, I SURE AS H, DON'T. CAPS ARE EASY, NO SHIFTING NEC. I HATE SHIFTING. STICK SHIFT CARS ARE CHEAPER THAN AUTOMATIC. YOU CAN THINK OF SO MANY MORE IMPORTANT THINGS WHEN YOU NEED NOT SHIFT. CRUISE O MATIC. LATER.

jackswebb,

Posting in all caps is considered shouting according to net etiquette. Please turn off your caps lock key. I think most would prefer you post in all lower case letters than all caps. Still no shifting.

Thanks for your cooperation.
