Ebay said right from the beginning that sellers who donate "Auction for America" items must also pay for shipping.
But I just clicked on the "Pay Now" form from Billpoint for my item that was won, and found this line:
"The total payment may also include reimbursement to the seller for shipping and handling costs."
Did they change their mind mid-stream, or what?

What I read was that the seller could now ask the buyer to pay shipping...Maybe I didn't read enough as I pretty much avoid the whole A4A thing.

i received an email from ebay saying seller does have a choice to have shipping refunded.
i assume this is to attract more listings,i dont believe ebay is collecting 1 million a day,the last time i looked at the items offered,no way.

The auction guild reported that only 4,000,000.00 was raised so far, so it looks like eBay will be very hard pressed to reach 25% of its goal. From day one it was a disaster from the polls to the shipping situaton.
