Is it open tomorrow on Columbus Day?

Its hard to believe but the USPS does have tomorrow off. Then they wonder why they are going broke. I was joking with my postmaster on Friday next they will get halloween and valentines day off. Since I ship all UPS there wont be any delay for my customers.

Dumb question, but is it a federal and state holiday?

I am pretty sure my kids have school tomorrow.

Thanksgiving Day here in Canada---so Canada Post is closed and schools.

NO school here in NY Monday, Post office and most banks as well will be closed..

Columbus day is a state holiday in 33 states.

I think, but I don't know for sure, if you have a major airport in your city they should be open. Most airport post offices are open 24 hours. October 8 is the pretend Columbus Day (observed), the real one is October 12. I think the USPS observes the observed one only.
