I thought this would be the best place to attain information about shipping to Canada. I've shipped there before, but the shipments took over two weeks (customs). Is there a faster way to ship to Canada for a reasonable cost?

I've sent several packages to Canada using both ground and airmail. They both seem to take about the same time, anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. Someone told me it has to do with the size of the package when going through customs as to how long it takes.

While no one can control customs (on either side of the fence) as to how long they take to process an item, I have found, in receiving items from the States that they seem to travel much faster if the customs form is filled out (super easy on the little green one), and filled out with a bit of detail. Instead of just saying the item is a "book" say what type "used history book" or whatever type it is. My last delivery from the US took almost a month ... and it appears that it was because they put no customs declaration on it ... so apparently it got put into the "we gotta look at this, and assess some duty and tax" pile

I have shipped items ground and air. It took a while for each shipment to arrive. I was told if you use the declarions form and write "gift" in your description, it'll arrive a little faster. I had a buyer to mention this after two weeks passed. That particular item was for her newphew's birthday. Unfortunately, it did not arrive in time.
Has anyone ever used some type of tracking service when shipping to Canada. It would have been nice to show some type of "proof" of delivery.
