One of the members of this board said she had "emailed the Post Office about a problem and gotten a fairly quick response." What IS THAT email address, please??

There are numerous email links and email forms within usps.gov. I would point out that I have used them two or three times and never gotten a response.

I'd stick to 1-800-ASK-USPS for timely answers.
