I see a bit of Salem Century up for auction, but not in this pattern. Anyone know the name of the pattern?

What a difference a backslash makes!

Dixie ..... You might want to give google.com a try, it's a great search engine.

Thanks, kiawok! I was having UBB trouble.
I've already been to Google. [ edited by dixiebee on Oct 14, 2001 10:24 AM ]

I think it is something like..."Godey's Ladies" or "Godey's Prints". Se pg. 130 of Lois Lehner's book of American Kitchen and Dinnerware.

Ok, I studied your pix a little closer.
The pattern is the later one called "Godey's Ladies". The border ID's it around 1940.
There is an earlier pattern very similar made around 1910 and the clay is NOt vitrified.

I used to collect those plates and everyone is right, they are Godey's Ladies Prints, those with an unusual colored border do the best.

Thanks glassperson and snowydayz. I was beginning to think I had some cheap reproduction that I paid too much for.
