I have found some items that I really wanted to bid on. The seller is pretty new and did not list the shipping cost in the auctions. I emailed and asked what the shipping cost would be for the item. Also did she combine shipping costs for more than one winning bid.
She emailed back and told me that she/he "could stuff them all in an envelope. LOL"
I suppose that is supposed to be tongue-in-cheek humor, which is fine, but she/he never did give me a shipping cost.
So, what would you do? Take a chance and bid, or just pass it by altogether?
Part of me wants to bid, but part of me is saying no way.

Well, if she is REAL new, she might not know how to determine the cost w/o going to the P.O. for a quote (I did when first starting out & not knowing about the USPS website & other tools).
Perhaps you could "gently" ask her to weigh the items & check out the postage at the USPS website & let you know the costs. You might be doing her a huge favor by introducing her to something she may not know about.

Question to seller: Dear new-seller. I would like to bid on your auctions, but really can't do so without knowing what the mailing, handling, insurance will cost. Most of us buyers need that information either in the listing or in very timely response to emails. Thanks. signed, anxious Buyer.
