I may be having a Senior Moment, but why can't I revise my auctions on ebay? I load through AW and have never had a problem before, but since yesterday, I have been trying to fix a misspelling, actually a letter missing, in one of the titles, and I cannot access this page....that error page keeps coming up and then the page that says I have not put in all the information.....What Gives?????? I have tried at many different times of day and night.....and now I want to add information to two others...why cant I do this????

Sorry your having problems. A lot of others have also for some time now. E bay doesnt acknowledge they have a problem, and wont do anything to fix it either. This problem has been ongoing for mts.....
I got a responce from Support that they didnt have a problem with relists or revisions. Their solution was 1) cancel auction 2) relist auction and 3) request credit. Way to many steps for me to do but that was their solution.
revised to add
some have had success by using a different browser, if your using IE switch to Netscape or Opera browser

It has been my finding that Internet Explorer gives problems when revising auctions. For listing and revising, I use "Opera." Some people say Netscape works well. When I was using IE, I kept getting an error that stated "page can not be displayed." I kept hitting submit, but it never took. I posted on AW Boards about the problem and they gave me this same answer, which really works. Also, get rid of some cookies, it can slow you down.

Let me tell you the easiest way to revise an auction. I too always have this problem. I learned this trick on this board some time back and pass it on every chance I get.

The trick is to be patient! No kidding. Bring it up revise what you want and WAIT 2-3 MINUTES before you click the button (I think it said continue). Really WAIT! Then it will pull up the next page. WAIT again 2-3 minutes before you click the button at the bottom. I think it is the submit button.

This may sound crazy, but I have passed it on to the AW community every time I can and so far everyone has reported that it worked. I do it like that every time now and have no problem. Just remember to WAIT 2-3 MINUTES before going to the next page.

Just it! You'll like it!

YEHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!! WAITING A FEW MINUTES AND IT REALLY DID WORK!!! BUT, AS WE KNOW SOMETIMES THEY DO TAKE AND SOMETIMES THEY DON'T TAKE SO NOW I AM SITTING HERE WONDERING IF I SAT HERE STARING AT THE SCREEN FOR NOTHING. ALSO, I JUST GOT THE NOTICE FROM E BAY OF MY SUCCESSFUL RE LIST,,,,,,THERE WAS NO TEXT IN THE MESSAGE, I WENT TO VIEW MESSAGE SOURCE , IT SAID IF YOU ARE READING THIS UP GRADE YOUR MAIL READER,,,,,,ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO DO THAT? I GET THIS MANY TIMES FROM PEOPLE(BEFORE I KNEW ABOUT VIEW MESSAGE SOURCE NOT SEEING ANY TEXT FROM THE WINNING BIDDER WE HAD IT OUT AND OF COURSE THE NEWBY HIT ME WITH A NEG. COURSE THEN I SLAMMMED HER RIGHT BACK WHICH GAVE THE PRINCESS HER -1.),,,I HAVE TO VIEW MESSAGE SOURCE TO SEE WHAT THEY SAID. BUT I NEVER GOT ONE THAT TOLD ME THAT BEFORE. THIS BOARD I AM HAPPY TO SAY IS MUCH BETTER THAN HOURS OF NO HELP FROM E BAY, EARTHLINK. AW.

This is tooooo funny,,,,Thanks Richierich...it really does work.....I have fixed all three of my auctions with no problem now...the trick is to wait at least two minutes before hitting "continue" and "submit" ....I am amazed!!! I have no idea why this works, I just know that it does...Thanks again......

I FOUND THE OPERA PAGE. JUST GO TO THE ADDRESS AND TYPE IN OPERA.COM. I NEED MORE INFO ON WHAT I AM GETTING INTO THERE SO I AM WAITING FOR A REPLY FROM THE ONE WHO POSTED THE OPERA OPTION. THE TWO MINUTE OPTION DOES WORK. NO DOUBT. I AM CURIOUS, WHAT EVER MADE YOU THINK OF THAT IDEA? WHY DOES NOT E BAY AT LEAST GIVE US THAT IDEA. THEY GIVE EVERY OTHER EXCUSE IN THE BOOK FOR SURE. THANKS FOR THE TWO MINUTE SOLUTION.

Just so you all know....I have contacted Ebay again, re: this revising problem, and have again, given all the info they requested...so we will see what happens next. While I greatly appreciate the 2-3 minute advice, and that has worked, the point is that it should not be that way....I am connected through Earthlink, and I use the Internet Explorer, so these are not some obscure companies that they can write off as just some odd ball problem.......This is a very popular method of working....so I think they at least ought to be aware that there is a problem.....I will be waiting to see what happens next. Thanks for all the input!!!!
