Auction ended yesterday and I sent out my normal EOS message. The buyer responded today with only a name and address. Out of curiosity I checked the listing again to see if it was a newby, only to find the dreaded “Not a Registered User” after the star. It seems this person has only been on since the end of August and has accumulated some 7 neg’s. Evidently some time after the end of my auction they were suspended.

According to eBay. “If you see the words, “Not a Registered User” next to an eBay member’s User ID, this means that this person unregistered from eBay after the listing closed. Because only registered eBay members can participate on eBay, you are not obligated to buy or sell from this person.”

I have not been able to find any information on how to file for return of the FVF on a NARU. All kinds of info on non paying members ect.

Any ideas?

You file using the regular NPB process. ebay will recognize the NARU status & immediately refund your FVF.

Eventer,Thanks.

It would be nice if they would add it to the list under, "What are the valid reasons for requesting Final Value Fee credits?"

I'll give it a try.

Well, so much for that!

It has not been 7 days since the end of the auction and they refuse to accept the report.

Guess eBay can't see the NARU? Now What?

Oops, my bad. Even with a NARU, you still have to wait for 7 days to have passed. Stupid, I know, but that's the rules.

When the 7 days are up, then you file the NPB and you'll get your FVF credit right away.

Sorry for not giving the whole story up front.
