I just received my first WBN from AW for an item I purchased and was very impressed with the format and ease of use.

I would like to start using these but have some questions.

The one I received had name and address form right in the email, is this automatic?

The one I received also had a link to paypal so I could make the payment right then, how do I do that?

What about shipping? I already had the shipping mentioned in the auctions but not in the WBN area of the form.

Has everyone gotten good response with these? I was thinking of sending out both mine and the WBN on the first batch(I am a small seller) just to get feedback from buyers on which they prefer.

Lots of questions rarrifle: I'll answer what I can.

When you click the link sent to you, and it re-directs you to AW, that's when, I assume , you see the name & address form?

If you ask in the AM "services" board, they'll answer (one hopes!) about how to customize your WBN with alternative shipping options, personalized message re: "if you don't like forms, do this.."

Some bidders see a form and refuse to go any further! They will usually not even attempt the link; others cannot get it to work. These people will either

a) Contact you via e-mail and request the EOA information
or
b) Act as if they never received it, and "wait you out", playing the game of "who-can't-stand-it-any-longer".

I personalised mine to indicate that I'd mail at Media mail Rate where applicable, (although it would be listed as "First Class" in the options box if you list using AW form). I also state that they should contact me directly if they don't wish to use the form for their personal information.

I'm unsure as to the automatic Paypal link. maybe that's a Paypal option. I just supply my Paypal address for them to use.

warning: be sure to enter the shipping amount in the box you've checked if using AM listing form..otherwise it goes out in the WBN as "shipping= $00.00" , as I've found to my cost recently when not paying enough attention !!

Personally, I'd send either one or the other. When AM had a WBN glitch awhile back, and sellers sent out their own , and then bidders got WBN's too, they were confused and some were Po'd.

You'll be able to tell if one was sent from your control panel, and AW e-mails you if you wish, to say it's been sent. At least you'll know the bidder has been contacted.

Response is varied. Some weeks bidders all respond, usually runs about 70%, and many say they are impressed with it. Give them a day or two 'though before you nudge 'em.
I'm not a very high volume seller either.

uglimouse, thank you so much for your help. I will research a little further before launching some with the WBN attached. At least I have some idea how to start now.

You're welcome. Sorry I wasn't more specific.
There'a a WBN "how to" on the AM page I think, or you can get the link to come up if you click on the #1 box in your closed auctions.

Give it a try on a couple of minor listings, or you can use it when you may be away from your computer when auction ends.

Best of luck.
