Looks like "they" are coming out of the woodwork. Had someone high bidder on a cassette for 5 days at a nice price and then retracted her bid because it wasn't a CD. It said several times in the listing it was a cassette. Someone else retracted a bid because "changed mind". (thought that was against ebay policy). Phantom payments have increased this week, and the clincher. . .
Someone from Canada gave me her wrong shipping address. I shipped 2 weeks ago. She didn't want insurance as it was only $1.10 to mail, and insurance would have increased it to $15.00 shipping. She e-mailed me yesterday (2 weeks after shipping) saying she accidently gave the incorect address to please change the address before I shipped it. I explained that I had shipped it two weeks ago and I didn't know if the Canadian post would return it to me or not. Does anyone know if they will? She seems very upset with ME, but all I did was follow the instructions in her e-mail which also matched the address in her Paypal payment. So, in my book *I* did nothing wrong. I wasn't notified that was not her address for 16 days after she paid.
So any ideas what will happen to undeliverable international mail?

So will I be charged since it will have to come back in the states? Will I have to pay to ship it again? Shipping was as much as the item.

You shouldn't be charged anything, unless you go to the PO to ship it again. I doubt the PO will give you the first round trip for free?

Now, who's responsibility will it be to pay to ship it again (should it ever show). I quoted $1.10 shipping to her but that was before I realized she didn't know her address.
I will lose money on this item if I have to pay to ship it, but since I quoted $1.10 shipping, then can she hold me to that. Personally I think she should pay but is there any way she could do a charge back against me or anything like that if I have her pay shipping again.

I agree, if THEY gave you the incorrect address, they should pay again. However, for $1.10, just might be easier to just pay it and be done with this transaction. Sometimes it is easier to just give in and pay a small price than deal with a potential problem...

You might want to consider using U-PIC for insurance (www.u-pic.com). They rates are cheaper than USPS and they consider Canada domestic. They also insure overseas (this is for letter packages, not only parcel post).

I once sent a package to Singapore, and it got back to me (It was my fault, I wrote the address down wrong, and boy did I pay for that one!) so after thinking about that, Canada will probably be returned.
Funny thing about that package. I used unusual, hardly used stamps, and auctioned the returned envelope on Ebay for $5 and it sold, so I got some of the cost back!

I've not heard from her but am considering to put back in my terms of sale "I am not responsible if you change your mind where you want your item shipped after I mail". I thought that was really dumb, so I took it out, but have had people change their minds after packages have been mailed and been upset with me that I mailed too soon after payment.
