The previous message I posted was my first on this board and I was unaware of the restriction on using e-mail addresses, etc., so it was removed.

This is the revised post:

eBay canceled two bids on one book we have on eBay, saying it was administrative and that the bidder names were not registered. It appeared the two bids were by two different names used by the same bidder.

In my last post I asked how someone could bid who was not registered.

One person replied to my earlier post and said the bidder was NARU. Not being great with acronyms, what does that mean?

Not A Registered User.

In other words, for some reason, they got the boot.

Well, I'll explain it again.

Your bidder was NARU'd by ebay who then did an administrative cancellation on all their current bids.

Looks like I'd best explain this further.

A person can be NARU'd by either getting suspended by ebay or by contacting ebay & asking to be "deactivated" (for lack of a better term).

If ebay "deactivates" them, all their outstanding bids are then administratively cancelled by ebay.

Non-registered users cannot bid. Your bidder was "un-registered" after they placed a bid on your item.
