I'm going to start selling under my buying ID and I'm going to try the BIN feature.
My question is if I list for $9.99 with a BIN of 12.99 will my eBay listing fee be $.25 or $.50?
Thank You!

I've searched the site for the priceing structure.
Eventer,
Could you explain how it comes out to be $.30?

Uh, ebay had a price increase some time ago. $.30 for items under $9.99, $.55 for items up to $24.99.

Cause listing fees went up a while back and a $9.99 and under listing is now 30 cents.
BIN is still free, isn't it?

packer,
here's the link to the fees
http://pages.ebay.com/help/sellerguide/selling-fees.html
BIN is still free as of this moment in time. It's subject to change anytime ebay feels like it.

DAH!
(banging head on the wall). What was I thinking of course the price went up!
The reason I wanted to know is.....with starting a bid of $9.99 and a reserve of $24.99, you pay the $.55 listing fee.
I was wondering if it were the same as with using the BIN.
Thanks for the replies and the link, I'll go check it out.

Why not do start $9.99 and BIN say $2 above your proposed reserve, but do not list with a reserve. My feeling is that a reserve puts bidders off. It can get scary, but that is the fun of eBay, especially if you sell Internationally. My current auctions are $1 N/R and I am very pleased with views and World Wide bids. This is not my trading name.

With BIN, you pay the listing fee based upon the starting price, not the BIN price.
Probably because with the first bid, the BIN disappears if you don't have a reserve. There is no guarantee it will sell higher than the starting price.

Does anyone think that BUY IT NOW scares people off? I mean, if I do the BIN to hopefully get someone to buy quickly at a fairly high price, but then they want to start the bid low, are some people going to be confused and think that's the minimum or the reserve do you think?
I started one of my auctions at 35.00 and a BIN of 100 and I haven't had any bids yet. I was considering taking the BIN to see if that would help. I've had 60 views and no bids. It's a ski jacket that sells for about 200 in the stores but I found on closeout.
Thanks,
Christine

BIN is being replaced by the check-out.So if you don't use check-out,you don't get to use BIN.

I have BIN and the check out thing says Seller will provided the information after the auction.
It did not say I had to use CheckOut!
