I think I've been hoodwinked.
I did a BIN from a person with over 80 positives and 1 neg over 6 mo old.
I got an e-mail from the seller telling me what the total amount was.
I paid via PayPal and was looking forward to getting my item.
I kept reading his feedback and even sales after mine were reporting fast shipping excellent service etc.
I never heard from the seller to confirm he got my payment, or that the item was on it's way. This purchase was made Oct 25th.
I sent e-mails 3 times with no reply
Today, I see he is no longer a registered user, and has been suspended.
Red flags are going off in my head!
I looked at my PayPal details and the e-mail where the payment was made is different than the e-mail of the seller.
I have filled out a complaint form with PayPal and was wondering how fast they respond.
I also filled out the square Trade complaint form also.
The item was only 27.99 but still...
I just got burned last month on a Yahoo auction for over $200 and I'd hate to have this happen again.

It takes 35 days for them to investigate it. And if there isnt any money in the account more than likely you wont get anything back. Been there done that.

Isn't it amazing how fast a response I get once I file a complaint!
I got a horrid letter stating it hasn't even been a week yet and here I am complaining.
He supposedly shipped it on Monday. Which is fine,I know the mail is slow, but after e-mailing him 3 times asking him to confirm my payment, and no response, then seeing that he has been suspended, I think you can understand my concern, especially when the sellers name was different than the PayPal name.
But wow, look at him respond when I file a complaint.
Why did it take a complaint to finally get him to answer me?
I expect I'll be getting my first Neg on my perfect feedback... oh well, at least I haven't sent his feedback yet.

I got ripped off recently on an ebay purchase where I used Paypal to pay. Paypal responded after a month, as stated in their dispute policy.
However, you must realize that the criminals have this month to clean out their Paypal account. And, if there is nothing in the Paypal account to recover, Paypal can recover NOTHING for you. They will only give back what amount they can recover. So, if the criminal removes the funds from his account before Paypal gets to it, you get nothing.
It is ALWAYS best to pay with a credit card, and then you will still have the opportunity to contest the charges through your credit card company. Paypal's fraud protection is good, for what it is, but the credit card company will protect you better.

Well, the item arrived this morning.
I have already closed the Square Trade so that is done. But now how do I let PayPal know that it has been resolved and to cancel my complaint?
He states that it was mailed on Monday and I was complaining that I had not received it by Wed.
This was not true. I paid via PayPal on Friday 10/25 and had not received any other correspondence from him, that the item was on it's way, or that the payment was received. All I was trying to do, was to get him to respond to my e-mails.
Am sure I'm not the only seller that lets my winner know what date I shipped the item, and it's on its way.
He is an honest seller, but I think his communication could have been alot better.
He states he gets 80 e-mails a day and works 10 hours a day, so he cannot hand hold customers with questions concerning their shipments.
I own 4 businesses and one b&m shop downtown, and I ALWAYS respond to e-mail I get from customers.
Was I wrong to file a complaint after no response to e-mails and seeing that the seller had been suspended?
I'm not going to post a feedback to him. I am going to hold it in case his feedback to me is neg.
I know even the best seller will get a neg, but since I don't have any yet, the first one will hurt. but maybe it will all turn out ok.

If you still have the original e-mail from PayPal regarding your complaint just forward it to the address it came from and put a message on it that everything has been resolved; this way the complaint number and everything will be on the e-mail. Good luck.
This happened to me a couple of weeks ago and PayPal responded within two days and everything was taken care of.
Also, had a chargeback once for merchandise never received and I got my money back. Guess it works for some and not for others.

ECO 101 -
there is this issue of diminishing return, how much time and money should one spent on one transaction??
this is just like feudal china where the private land gets divided smaller and smaller and each offspring brings his offspring to plough a smaller and smaller piece of land, the land can only produce so much irregardless of the number of people work on it.

definitely email paypal that the problem has been resolved.
did you jump the gun? maybe a little, but I can understand why. I had the same problem a few months ago where my seller was NARU, but they answered the email saying the item was shipped and I did receive it.
I don't think you can leave feedback as long as the person is NARU. if they are just temprorarily suspended you can leave feedback when they return though.
bottom line, a seller should never be too busy to answer a buyers email.
