Simple - if a bidder's account gets suspended, all of his current bids evaporate. He may have gotten hit with a third seller claiming a final value fee credit for non-payment. Or he may be a seller who got suspended for any one of a number of selling violations (always a good reason to keep seperate accounts for buying and selling).
I hate when that happens. Especially if it's too late in the auction to recover the bids from other bidders.

Good question... If you check this person's buys, you'll see a $4000 rocking horse recently that got a positive feedback. Maybe a similar high priced auction that did not work as well or cash-flow problem from a lot of buying? Maybe the spouse shut down the credit card...
Buys a LOT of stuff, sells nothing that I could see. Even though 9 negs in the last year, still mostly 340 positives. <shrug>

It could also be not updating contact info. If the contact info isn't correct and ebay can not make contact, the account is suspended.
