I have purchased 2 items this year. It is tough trying to manage shipping your own items let alone worring about recieving them

In the past month I have purchased three items from two sellers. One was a gift for my nephew which is yet to arrive but I don't think it will be a problem.
The first was a bit of a pain. I purchased two items that would complete my set from the same seller. I bid more than I normally would have just so I could have the complete set. The seller was nice enough but in her first e-mail gave me the "I'm old and on disability, just trying to keep starvation from my door" line which turned me off. I ended up having to ship one piece back to her for a replacement. Now I'm out the shipping cost to ship the defective one back to her.

I've been very lucky....been able to keep up with my own sales and have bought some great deals on ebay for Christmas that the shipping time was excellent....must be because I let them know it's for Christmas.<br />

I have gotten a few good deals and a few not so good deals but still wanted the item. all from excellen sellers who shipped really fast and packaged well.
I am always amazed at some the newbie sellers. they will start the item at an ungodly amount and I can imagine their surprise at getting no bids. (I know this is off topic, I just like to people watch).

My best sellers are items that have either been Misdescribed, miscatagorized, or in some other way missomethinged so that the people who would normally bid on it do not. I receintly bought an Olympic Pin that was simply described as RAI 1972, and was in sporting goods collectables. RAI is the Italian National Broadcast company, and their olympic pins are usually worth $100 and up. I bought the pin for the first bid of $24 including shipping from Italy. I took it to a show, and was offered $300 in trade for it. Keep your eyes open as a seller, and you can get some great bargains.

HI all..yeah, I"ve bought a few things also. Bought a Saxophone for my son, new and got it for a very good price! Also a cleaning set for the Sax..and a new battery for my dig cam..can't find my other one..kiddos must've run off with it somewhere..nightmare Whenever I want/need something I check the stores first..prefer the quickness of purchase in the stores..then check the ebay auction search and check for BIN's.. Last resort a normal auction..LOL I'm too impatient to wait on those to end!
