I've shipped to Japan and the adressing is strange at best.
What I do is cut and paste exactly the way they have it written. I figure they should know there own address better than me.
Waiting for an email confirmation is ok. I've done that with international buyers, asking them to write it exactly as they want it to appear on the package.
I once got three different locations from a guy in England (Great Britian, England and United Kingdom) I emailed him like above. Turns out they all boil down to the same place (thing) How would I know?
Might be better it arrives 2 days later than never. With the time delays it's going to take awhile anyway and your customer should appreciate the fact that you want to make sure you have it right. chc

Thanks for the reply! If I don't hear back from him/her, then I'll just copy it exactly from PayPal. They've paid hundreds of sellers through PayPal and given that address, so I guess it must work! I just get nervous sending a large package overseas.

I sell about 10% of my items to Japan, and the first address looks good to me. They break down into Post Office Number, District, City, Province, so on.

i have many returns from japan(not packages but letters, due to incorrect addresses) and these are the addresses i copied from publications of japan.
one may think japanese postman will try harder to figure ,but obviously something is missing??
so i would not decide to alter what they give you until you hear from them.
