I just received this email from Ebay's Powerseller program.
Congratulations! You’ve earned the honor of joining the eBay BRONZE PowerSeller Program. You owe this invitation to your success on eBay. As a PowerSeller, you’ll be able to receive more of the support you’ll need for continued success.
So, I click on the link to sign-up....
Your Account Is Not Qualified for the PowerSeller Program
We're sorry, but the UserID newton is not recognized as being qualified for the eBay Powerseller Program at this time.
Oh well, guess I don't get my Ebay Powerseller discount card to go buying at the sales.

If it is any comfort, the same happened to me tonight but I asked ebay why? I am sure I'll get an answer. I think what it is that I sold enough for a while to qualify but fell back so no longer qualify. It is a minimum of 2000 a month plus proper atta boys and few, to no, complaints. Like you I was disappointed but after some thought, so what. It would not sell more stock, it won't give any advantage that has any meaning. Power sellers as a group don’t have the best rep.any way. (My only neg was from a crooked power seller, which appears not to be on ebay anymore). Like often said I'm just moving on. Merry Christmas

Several months back I got my invite. I thought about and decided what do I have to lose. It cost me nothing to get nothing.
I do not put it in my auctions, no one's business that I sell $2000 a month, right?
They told me I would get a newsletter of some kind. I thought that could be interesting. It's been about 6 months and still I have not received any newsletters.
Maybe you replied to quickly and your email address is not yet in the database. Give it a day or two.

Why Bother??? I have been a power seller since the program started. It gives you nothing except an email address that will answer you in a few hours. Only problem is the answer is always the same. We are forwarding your email to the department that handles that problem. Then the apropriate department answers when they feel like it.
I don't use the logo in my auctions because a lot of people lump all power sellers into a category of sellers that give bad service.

Stand by - you'll get another one from them at some stage, rather like I just had, warning you that your account is dropping
below par. What follows is almost councelling for a failed human being and
how they can offer you remedies to come
back from the dead.....forget it, it isn't worth the tft it is written on....

Just a word: if you do get to be a power seller, please do not put all that junk on your auctions. i come to a power seller, see a logo and a mess of what to do and not to do, and go somewhere else. I want to read about the product, not what your experience has been with others and who your dog is and definitely I DO NOT WANT TO SPEND TIME WAITING FOR THAT LOGO to DOWNLOAD>
